The founders of Xordium, Fred and Karen Gillett, began their risk control firm in August, 1985. They were married in September, 1985. Thus Xordium: the "starting point" of their union professionally and personally. Karen took "poetic license" and dropped the "E" thinking XORDIUM looked more high tech. (She never contemplated that "X" would give them a listing at the end of the Yellow Pages, the alphabetical order when anyone searched through professional directories, etc.) To learn more about us click on title. XORDIUM is a risk control consulting company founded in 1985 by Fred and Karen Gillett (principals). They established Xordium with the philosophy that companies can effectively control the potential for financial loss as it relates to liability and occupational incidents by applying management techniques they have developed through experience and knowledge. Xordium's approach to risk control is to accept the goals and objectives of the client's current management system and to define risk management objectives that work toward accomplishing those goals. This approach redefines "safety" as part of management's economic objectives, so as to facilitate its acceptance within the existing management system, at all levels of management, in order to meet existing goals. Management tools, including measurement methodology and audit functions, are developed from existing management methods, thereby minimizing implementation time and maximizing acceptance. Xordium's belief that "the cost of controlling losses should not exceed the value of the return" is actualized by economically justifying any programs it introduces, so that management can make decisions based on expected return.

GENERAL LIABILITY AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CONSULTATION-Our risk control consultants have worked with insureds, self-insureds, brokers, insurance companies, reinsurance companies, State Self-Insured Plans and attorneys. Our services are customized to the clients needs. We audit the companys risk control management system, prepare policies and procedures for both operational and corporate operations, and monitor safety activities through periodic inspections and performance reviews. We provide various management and employee training programs, prepare written plans, and assist in the implementation of the plans. In addition, we assure representation during Cal-OSHA compliance visits and at any appeals hearings.
